Fuckwit of the Year
What an Australia Day present...
Some complete and utter tool has painted over the beautiful signage on the wall of King Street Cyclery, Newtown. This vintage motor garage signage probably dates back to around 1940 and was a wonderful piece of history. I just can't believe somebody would paint over this. A piece of Australian history is destroyed forever. Why don't you paint over "I had a Dream" while you're at it? Whoever did this: you are a complete and utter small dick fuckknuckle
There's some many great artists doing wonderful street art in the area and then we have this. And taggers. It doesn't just make me angry, it makes me depressed. Rant over.

Dogs and Cats We Met While City Walking China
Here are some of the fine hounds and felines we met while city walking in China, Hong Kong and Macau, starting with our very favourite, possibly the ugliest dog we have ever seen.

Fine Hounds I Met While City Walking - 2011
I've been accused of having a cat bias so here are all the dogs met while out city walking in 2011. I thought I had more, I will work harder in 2012.
The Hounds of Marrickville Metro 2011
It's bad enough being tied up outside the Marrickville Metro Shopping Centre while owner goes inside. Then some arsehole of a two-legger comes up and takes your picture. Here's some pics of the fine hounds this arsehole two-legger met at the Metro in 2011. Individual hound pics inside...

Serenity Now
The Festivus spirit lives on at this house in Redfern, with a large colour pinup of the Festivus spiritual guru, Frank Costanza, pegged up on the porch.

Waratah Neptune Oil...
Some lovely vintage service station advertising on the wall of Newtown's King Street Cyclery appears after the burning down and flattening of the old laundromat next door. Shame some frecklehead had to put some crap graffiti on it. There's street art and then there's street arse.

Fearless Jungle Lounger
Everybody knows Max, the friendliest cat in Enmore. Nothing is better than lying in the grass on on a warm day, waiting for somebody to come along for a pat and a toe lick...

Vegan Meat Pies of Newtown
Another street sign for Egan Street gets an extra "V", right in front of the Pie Face pie shop, a festival of manufactured meat, nice one. We hate to admit it but Pie Face does a hellava sausage roll, sorry vegans.

Mr Stumpy-Tail J. Pussycat of Newtown
A very friendly ginger ninja with half a tail, no collar, and either no home or many homes. He's a nice pussycat but he's also a dirty pussycat. He only does half the job when cleaning, he's got the rubbing bit sorted, but licking, well, not so much. He seems well fed and happy, somebody loves him.
Sock it to'em
This very friendly boxer is wearing the cone of shame. Her owner tells us she ate a pair of socks and is full of stitches from the vet.

Mr Billie J. Pussycat of Enmore
This vocal, friendly fellow will follow you down the street demanding a scratch. This is the first time I've seen him still, blissing out in the spring sunshine.
Mr Fuzz E. Pussycat of Enmore
This fuzzy fence sitter in Enmore is always keen for a catscratch. He's got punter's eyes (one each way) but still a very handsome pussycat
The Best Graffiti in Sydney
Most graffiti is designed to annoy but this piece inspires. "I love this city" spray painted on up high on George Street, Haymarket. Nice one!

If you Gnome Chomsky Like I Noam Chomsky
Gnome Chomsky (boom-tish) spotted on King Street, Newtown. The next day I went to get another photo in better light but poor Noam was just dust crumbs...

Attention All Dogs...
A sign requesting that dogs don't poo or wee in this curbside garden in Enmore. It will never work, dogs never wear their reading glasses when going walkies.

Mr Puss E. Cat of Enmore
Mr Puss E. Cat of Enmore has no time for pats, not when there's another cat on his patch.
Still Life
Outside the hectic Shinjuku Station in Tokyo I see these two dudes in business suits. They're standing motionless and expressionless. It looks like some kind of performance art, but it's just two blokes having a rest, and one idiot tourist pointing a camera at them.
